Creating Contests
To create a contest, click on "Contests" in the side menu. Next click on your arena tab. If you own a paddock, the arena tab will be named "Paddock". If you own a Colosseum Silver, then the arena tab will be named "Colosseum Silver", and so on.
You should see something similar to this;
The first thing to do is to write the name of your contest. Next, select the date and time from the drop-down list, for when you want your contest to start. As reference, check the PI clock at the top of the site.
As for profit, this is where you get to choose how much of the entry fee you get to keep. If you select 100%, that means you'll keep all of the PG. If you choose, say, 70%, the remaining 30% will go to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners. Of that 30%, the 1st place will get 50%. 2nd place will get 30% while 3rd gets 20%.
If you want to upload your own prizes (Pictures awarded to the winners), they can only be in .gif format with dimensions of 70x100. Any larger or smaller pictures will be resized. Pictures must also be less than 20Kb in size.
In the description box you can put information about your contest, such as what levels to what levels, whether it be baby or adult contests, or both. You can also place a contest banner if you wish - the dimensions are 350 x 100 pixels.
After clicking on "Organize" you will then find your contest in the "Organized Contest" section.
Take note that you can change prizes and your description even after you submit the contest. Simply select the contest from the drop-down list. Once the contest comes up, make your changes then click on "Update".
Creating Classes
Once your contest is organized, click on its name and it will take you to a page with this;
Most is self-explanatory. Class name is the name for that particular class. Fee will be the entrance fee per pony entered into that particular class, and so on. There are a great many types of contests, and to see a full explaination, please visit The Manual's Contests: The Different Competitions
There can be a total of 12 classes in a single contest.
Cloning Contests
To clone a contest, simply select the contest you wish to clone. After selecting it, the contest details will pop up - including the prizes and descriptions. Simply select the date and time you wish, then click on "Clone". The exact same contest will be replicated for that particular time - both in terms of prizes and descriptions to the exact same classes that the original contest had.
Joining Contests
A very handy way is to click on "Next Contests" in the sidebar. A list of all the contests for that hour will show up, and all you need to do is click on the one you want to join.
You can sign your ponies up one by one by going to each class and picking your selected pony and click on "Sign Up". But there is a much more useful feature called mass sign-up. At the bottom of the contest page you will see a list of your ponies, seperated by which classes they are eligible for. A simple click and drag will highlight your ponies and after you're done simply click "Mass Sign-Up" and that's it.
