Here is a list of the most commonly used abbreviations and terms. All are listed alphabetically.

- ADM
- Administrator, VeeZ and ZarqX, owners and creators of the game.
- AOOCS
- All Options Open Custom Starters, meaning all breeds and s-genes are available.
- BIN
- Buy It Now, used in auctions to end the bidding early with an automatically accepted bid.
- BP
- Bonus Points.
H - N
- Highlighter
- Extremely brightly coloured ponies.
- IB
- In Breeding.
- LTB
- Looking To Buy.
- MAN
- Users who write/contribute to the manual.
O - V
- P
- Purebred, normally used in pony nicks.
- PG
- PonyGold, ingame currency.
- PM
- Private Message, the ingame mail.
- POTW
- Pony of the Week, the pony in the spotlight on the front page.
- RB
- Reverse Breed, meaning you allow others to breed with your female ponies for a fee.
- Reserve
- Used in auctions, it is the minimum amount that the auctioneer accepts.
- RH
- Rainbow Hair, the s-gene.
- RL
- Real Life.
- S
- Starter, normally used in pony nicks.
- SB
- Starting Bid.
- S-Gene
- Special-Gene, such as paint, stockings and ZigZags.
- SO
- Starter Offspring.
- TRI
- Trial User, a player with non paid account.
- USR
- User, a player with paid account.
V - Z
- WTB
- Want To Buy
- WU
- Winged Unicorn, the breed.
- ZZ
- ZigZag, the s-gene.
